User Research / User TestingThe Octi Marketplace is a hub for discovering thousands of digital items. Our goal was to create a social marketplace allowing users to purchase, trade, and browse items to add to their digital collection.
Collectors can showcase their collection while earning coins daily. Not only a place to trade and collect items, but also a place to discover content and connect with like-minded individuals.

Continuous efforts were made to increase engagement with items by improving the purchase and offer flow. This was done by adding relevant metrics such as earnings, improving navigation to reduce friction and detailed trade screen, and being intentional about which items were first surfaced.
As a collaborative project, great efforts were made outside of the design team that include decreasing the shop loading time from developers, adding more exciting animations for each item type from our in-house technical artist, and surfacing more relevant items based on browsing behavior from our machine learning team.
